No Referrals Necessary!
There are no referrals necessary for private consultations, however we also treat clients using Medicare, NDIS and My Aged Care/Home Care packages.
National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)
With the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Podiatric care falls under Therapeutic Support. This means that if you are Self Managed, simply get in touch with us to book your appointment. For participants who are Plan Managed or a Support Coordinator for a Plan managed participant, get in touch with us to get the ball rolling to ger our clients sorted.
Medicare
Once your GP deems you eligible for the Chronic Disease Management (CDM) program, you may be allocated up to 5 visits depending on your health needs. We will need this referral to give you a rebate of $55.10 towards the consultation fee.
Hicaps
Whilst HICAPS is available, be sure to check your podiatry benefits with your insurer. You can check if your insurer is compatible with our HICAPS Mobile Device. For those not on the list, claiming with your insurer using our invoice will be required.
My Aged Care/home Care Packages
More often than not, podiatric care is a usual service provided through Home Care packages. In order to have The Toe Truck to come out to you. Ask your Case Manager to get in touch with us to get the ball rolling and have us registered as a Service Provider.

Comprehensive Care, Tailored for You
From detailed assessments to ongoing care and transparent reporting, we ensure personalized podiatry solutions. Plus, we include everyday consumables in treatments at no extra cost.
Assessments
Our Initial Appointments can entail Biomechanical, Diabetic, Neurological or Vascular Assessments. TheToe Truck Podiatrists can often identify if any needto be done using clinical assessments and medicalhistory. Once we’re done with the initial treatment,we will send a treatment report to care staff detailing interventions, recommendations and management plans.
Continuity
Appointment frequency depends on recommendations and client preferences. Generally, appointments occur every 8 weeks. We will assess any interventions implemented during prior consultations and address any new concerns. Clients with chronic conditions who require annual assessments (such as Diabetes) will be charged initial consultation fees.
Reporting
Once we have completed assessments, we will send a treatment report to care staff detailing interventions, recommendations and management plans.
Consumables
At The Toe Truck, we care about our clients' budgets. As such, we don’t charge clients for everyday consumables used in treatments.This includes custom toe separators, strapping andwart treatments.
